When we lived in Richardsbay and our son was a baby,
we spent almost every weekend on the beach.

When we got home, we used to bath him in the laundry tub
outside as he was so full of sand.

Watermark Stamps ( Starfish)
The netting was made from a hair-net.
The Baby Feet were made with my fist.
Our son didn’t like wearing a hat, or sunscreen,
but he was very happy playing in the sand.

He had no fear of the sea and we had to watch him all the time,
as he would just walk into the sea.

If he wasn’t walking around naked, just wearing Pukka shells,
he wore a cute bathing suit, that I have kept to this day.
One day we found a big red ball on the beach.
Friends were with us.
We had great fun with the ball that day.
One day when my in laws were visiting us,
he lay on the sand and said: “I’m tired!”
