“I just want to live in a world of mountains, coffee, campfires, cabins, and golden trees, and run around with a camera and notebook, learning the inner workings of everything real.” –Victoria Erickson
We have camped there before, you can see the post here.
Our site number was 105. We had cool weather and some rain.
Apparently there was a cougar in the area.
We had a large site, surrounded by trees, there are many birds, we found it quite, fire wood is for sale and the staff is friendly. We heard some helicopter traffic, but I don’t know if is only temporary, as there is construction going on at the dam.
“A thundering waterfall and some of the finest year-round salmon fishing in Canada are just two of the reasons Elk Falls is one of the most popular provincial parks on Vancouver Island. Add to that the extensive network of forest trails, the nearby Quinsam salmon hatchery and, in the fall, the sight of spawning salmon in the Quinsam and Campbell Rivers, and it’s easy to see why this provincial park is considered one of the best campground accommodations in the “Salmon Capital of the World.”- Elk Falls Provincial Park
Erik on he’s chair, wandering what we are doing.
Tokeloshe in the woods.
On our previous visit, which you can see here, hubby took photos of me, which turned out great for my Blog Avatar.
Hubby turned an old cowboy hat into a witches hat for me.
I am wearing a skeleton bracelet and skeleton necklace around the hat.
We visited Campbell River
