“Fuzzy Duck” Raft Southern Cross Raft Race October 1984, Richardsbay My one friend made the costumes. That’s me in the Afro Hairstyle. It was very cold. One can’t see it clearly in the photo but, there is a striped change house behind us.

I didn’t recognise you in the pics, lovely memory; lovely costumes. Did you win the race?

Hubby wants me to perm my hair like that again.;-)

I was very fortunate, a very creative friend made many of the ballet costumes too, I was just recently contacted by her on Facebook.

LOL We didn’t win, we almost didn’t finish, but we had great fun despite the weather.

I love her shoes, her feet were smaller than mine, so she could wear dainty high heeled sandals.

Great fun. I totally enjoyed listening to the ‘Itsy bitsy teeny weeny’ song again, too. Well, you had to fit a bikini in there somehow! 🙂
