Opal Falls

We showed some of our friend’s one of f
avorite spots; Opal Falls in Kananaskis.

The weather was lovely; it is a short but rewarding hike up a moss covered creek, criss-crossing over branches our shoes got a bit wet and it helps to have a walking stick.

On such a hot day it is fun to try stand under the cold water of the fall.

After exploring we relaxed in our hammocks. The dogs also enjoyed the day.

We were fortunate one day to see Mountain Goats high-up on the mountain.

In winter the road to the trailhead is closed, so then we snowshoe to the trailhead and wear crampons to the frozen falls.
